The goal of a Backgammon match is to shift your checkers around the Backgammon board and bear those pieces off the game board quicker than your challenger who works harder to do the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Winning a match in Backgammon requires both tactics and fortune. How far you will be able to shift your pieces is left to the numbers from rolling the dice, and just how you shift your checkers are determined by your overall gambling strategies. Enthusiasts use different strategies in the different parts of a match based on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Tactic
The aim of the Running Game strategy is to lure all your checkers into your inside board and bear them off as quickly as you can. This tactic concentrates on the pace of shifting your chips with no time spent to hit or barricade your competitor’s chips. The best time to employ this strategy is when you believe you might be able to move your own pieces quicker than your opponent does: when 1) you have less checkers on the board; 2) all your chips have past your competitor’s chips; or 3) your opposing player doesn’t employ the hitting or blocking strategy.
The Blocking Game Tactic
The primary aim of the blocking plan, by the name, is to block the competitor’s checkers, temporarily, not fretting about moving your pieces rapidly. Once you have created the barrier for the opponent’s movement with a couple of pieces, you can move your other checkers rapidly off the game board. The player should also have a clear strategy when to back off and shift the checkers that you utilized for blocking. The game gets intriguing when the opposition uses the same blocking strategy.
