The objective of a Backgammon match is to move your pieces around the game board and bear those pieces off the game board faster than your competitor who works just as hard to attempt the same buthowever they move in the opposite direction. Succeeding in a round in Backgammon needsrequires both strategy and good luck. How far you can shift your checkers is up to the numbers from rolling the dice, and the way you shift your pieces are decided on by your overall gambling strategies. Players use a few tactics in the differing parts of a game depending on your positions and opponent’s.

The Running Game Technique

The aim of the Running Game tactic is to entice all your pieces into your home board and pull them off as quickly as you can. This tactic focuses on the pace of shifting your pieces with absolutely no efforts to hit or stop your opponent’s pieces. The best scenario to use this plan is when you believe you can move your own pieces faster than your opposition does: when 1) you have less chips on the board; 2) all your checkers have moved beyond your competitor’s checkers; or 3) the opposing player doesn’t employ the hitting or blocking strategy.

The Blocking Game Strategy

The main goal of the blocking technique, by its name, is to stop your opponent’s pieces, temporarily, not worrying about shifting your chips rapidly. As soon as you’ve established the blockade for the opponent’s movement with a couple of pieces, you can move your other pieces swiftly off the board. You will need to also have an apparent strategy when to extract and move the pieces that you used for blocking. The game becomes intriguing when the competitor uses the same blocking technique.
