The objective of a Backgammon match is to move your checkers around the game board and bear those pieces from the board faster than your opponent who works harder to attempt the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Succeeding in a game of Backgammon requires both strategy and luck. Just how far you will be able to shift your chips is left to the numbers from tossing a pair of dice, and how you move your pieces are determined by your overall gambling strategies. Enthusiasts use differing plans in the differing parts of a game depending on your positions and opponent’s.

The Running Game Tactic

The aim of the Running Game strategy is to bring all your chips into your inner board and get them off as quickly as you could. This technique focuses on the speed of moving your checkers with little or no time spent to hit or stop your opponent’s checkers. The ideal scenario to use this tactic is when you believe you can move your own checkers a lot faster than your opponent does: when 1) you have less chips on the board; 2) all your chips have moved beyond your opponent’s checkers; or 3) the opposing player does not use the hitting or blocking plan.

The Blocking Game Strategy

The primary goal of the blocking plan, by the name, is to block the competitor’s chips, temporarily, while not fretting about shifting your checkers rapidly. As soon as you’ve created the blockage for your opponent’s movement with a few chips, you can shift your other pieces rapidly from the game board. You will need to also have an apparent strategy when to back off and move the chips that you employed for the blockade. The game gets interesting when your competitor utilizes the same blocking technique.
